Internationally-acclaimed Dancehall/Reggae superstar, Seranihas decided to part ways with DASECA, a popular musical group that he helped to establish.

Known for their highly acclaimed producing exploits, DASECAwas founded 11 years ago by Serani, in collaboration withDavid Harrisingh and Craig Harrisingh. Since joining forces, DASECA has produced several classics for top-tier artistes including Mavado, Busy Signal and Bounty Killerwhile promoting their own talents such as Bugle, Raine Seville and the aforementioned Serani.

However, the She Loves Me singer has decided to end his long-time partnership with the group but insists that he remains on very good terms with the DASECA crew.

“I’m one of the founding members, DASECA has been around for 11 years and I recognize that my partners Craig and David, have grown substantially. I wanted to give them room to spread their wings. They are talented brothers and very good friends of mine,” he told the Jamaica STAR.

With their joint ventures producing hits for Serani such asDoh (featuring Bugle), No Games and Stinkin’ Rich,Serani hinted that there could still be future collaborations between himself and DASECA.

“I’m not saying it’s gonna be a split for good and at this point if people want to continue to get top-quality work from all of us, then this is best. If they send me a rhythm, I’ll voice on it,”he said.

Additionally, Serani insisted that he’ll continue to aid his former DASECA teammates in whatever future endeavors they embark on.

“The name DASECA means unity. That is the meaning we assigned to it. If they need me, I’ll be there and if I need them, I know they’ll be there,” he said.

Meanwhile, Serani has already taken the next step in his career by focusing on his new label, Rockstone Media. His newest recruit to the label is 2012 Magnum Kings and Queens winner, Deep Jahi whose latest single, Punching Bag recently copped rotation on BBC 1Xtra.

“As the name suggests, Rockstone means we are solid. We’re gonna be putting out solid productions and solid artistes. We recently released Deep Jahi’s single Punching Bag under the label. The song was produced by Tiarro. Big up Tiarro, a talented engineer. Look out for more good work from me and Deep Jahi.”
