Kris Kelli has returned to the music spotlight with her newest release, ‘Home Run.’

Prominent Jamaican songstress, Kris Kelli has returned to the spotlight in a rejuvenated and somewhat rebuilt fashion with her latest effort, Home Run.

Kelli rose to prominence between 2004 and 2005 after being discovered by the manager of Canadian pop songstress,Nelly Furtado; showing off her scintillating vocals on singles such as Flip Up (Step Up) and Uptown Top Ranking.Additionally, she collaborated with noteworthy Jamaican acts such as highly acclaimed Dancehall diva, Macka Diamond (Gucci) as well as chart-topping sensation, Vybz Kartel (Fame).

More hits followed, such as We’re Missing You, Sweet, Deep Into Your Eyes (featuring Beenie Man) and Kotch Aroun’ , for which the accompanying video topped the RETVand CariVibez charts for over a month. However, in search of additional international exposure, Kelli signed to Atlanta based record label, Block Entertainment in 2011, joining hip-hop superstars such as Young Jeezy, Yung Joc andGorilla Zoe.

Now, Kelli has unveiled her first mainstream solo effort as a member of Block Entertainment entitled Home Run, a sensual track combining Kelli’s singing abilities with a hip-hop flavor.

Kelli successfully displays her lyrical dexterity in this with lines such as “Blinds open wide, in case they wanna see, sharpshooter, bang bangin’ in the Middle East, take it off, stick up, no robbery.”

Home Run has been well received within the Atlanta music scene as well as her Jamaican fans since it was unveiled at the end of April. It hails as a noteworthy follow-up to her collaborative effort, Me & U alongside the aforementioned,Gorilla Zoe which has received constant airplay within the Atlanta area since its release last fall. An accompanying video for Me & U will soon be released, according to Kelli’s camp.

For this curvaceous Jamaican starlet, Kelli has seemingly entered this new phase of her career with a new found focus as she aims to take her status within the music industry to a higher level. With an effort such as Home Run, she surely won’t be striking out any time soon.
