The prominent American rapper will be in Jamaica on June 22 for a concert in Kingston, featuring himself and artistes from his label, Maybach Music Group. Ross will headline the Best of the Summer concert, in collaboration with Kubanis Entertainment, a promotional outlet known for throwing party series such as Summer in Paradise and Heatwave.
The Best of the Summer concert will also feature rappers such as Wale, Meek Mill, Stalley and Jamaican-born artiste and Maybach Music Group protégé, Magazeen (formerly known as Reagon). A pre-party event is being organized for the event, which will feature top-draw local artistes, according to Kubanis Entertainment lead promoter, Chavaughn O’Neil. Additionally, there will be promotional video and voice recordings from Ross and members of the Maybach Music Group to build anticipation for the concert.
In August 2009, Ross was previously in Jamaica to help promote Magazeen as well as perform. Additionally, he’s collaborated with Dancehall/Reggae acts such as Mavado and Jah Cure for their 2010 hit, Like I See It and will perform alongside Mr. Vegas for a show in Guyana on April 9.
